Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 September 2026

1. What this policy covers

This Cookie Policy explains how Idear.app (“Idear”), operated by FRANCISCO BARRUGUER GASCÓ, uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g. local storage) in the application and related sites.

It complements the Privacy Policy. Contact: estudio@pacobarruguer.com.

2. What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small files the browser stores on your device. Local storage lets the browser keep preferences or other data without sending them on every HTTP request.

We use these technologies to maintain sessions, remember preferences and, in production, measure product usage and detect errors.

3. Strictly necessary cookies and data

These technologies are required for the Service to work securely and are not based on marketing consent. Without them, sign-in or certain access modes may fail.

• idear_session — authenticated User session cookie.

• idear_anon_session — anonymous session cookie when applicable (e.g. before registration or in flows without a full account).

• Cookies or tokens related to client / review mode — allow access to boards or client links without mixing that session with the owner’s, depending on product configuration.

We may also use technical protections (e.g. Cloudflare Turnstile) that set temporary security cookies or tokens.

4. Preferences (localStorage)

We store UI preferences in localStorage (e.g. theme, language, UI state) to improve the experience. These data stay on your device and are not used for advertising profiles.

You can clear them by clearing site data in your browser; some preferences will reset to defaults.

5. Analytics (production)

In production environments we may use:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — web traffic and marketing metrics.

• PostHog — product analytics (usage events, funnels, retention).

These tools may set their own cookies or identifiers and process technical data (truncated IP or IDs, page views, product events). Categories and purposes are described in the Privacy Policy.

NEEDS LEGAL REVIEW: analytics may require prior consent under the applicable reading of cookie / ePrivacy rules and AEPD guidance. This Policy does not claim that a full complex Consent Management Platform (CMP) exists or that consent is finally implemented.

6. Errors and stability (Sentry)

We use Sentry to detect and diagnose application errors. It may send technical device information, the URL, and error context. This is for Service security and quality, not advertising.

Exact classification for cookie/consent purposes should be confirmed in legal review (NEEDS LEGAL REVIEW).

7. How to manage cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you may be unable to sign in or use parts of the Service.

For third-party tools (GA4, PostHog, Sentry), you may also use opt-out or settings offered by each provider, where available.

When Idear offers a cookie banner or preference panel, your choices there will prevail over this generic description to the extent they are implemented.

8. Duration

Session cookies usually expire when you close the browser or after an inactivity period defined by the Service. Persistent cookies and analytics identifiers have durations set by each tool; we do not invent commercial timelines here — they should be documented in legal review and/or in the consent UI when available.

9. Updates and more information

We may update this Policy when tools or law change. Current version: 2026-09-01.
