Manual dimensions
Measurement annotation with two reference points, extension lines, dimension line, and editable label (e.g. “2400 mm” or “3.20 m”).
What it is for
Show measurements on plans, elevations, or technical details without leaving the board.
How to use it
- Open the Arrows menu in the top toolbar and choose Dimension, or press K.
- 1st click: first measured point (start).
- 2nd click: second point (end). Hold Shift to force horizontal or vertical.
- 3rd click: dimension line position (offset from the segment). Shift aligns the line.
- Type the measurement in the dialog and confirm.
- With the dimension selected: floating bar for value, stroke width, text size, end caps (triangle, chevron, circle…), flip text, and color.
- Double-click the dimension text to edit the value; drag the label to reposition it.
Tips
- Esc cancels placement before the third click.
- After creating the dimension you return to Select automatically.
- The active stroke color applies when creating; change it later from the floating bar.
